Māori focussed rehabilitation unit opened:omnibus excerpt

A Māori-focussed rehabilitation unit, Whare Oranga Ake, has opened this week.  The unit is beside the Hawke’s Bay Regional Prison and will focus on using restorative kaupapa Māori practices to re-integrate Māori prisoners into society.  The initiative has been championed by Dr Pita Sharples, who is the Associate Corrections Minister.
