Ngāti Rēhua-Ngāti Wai ki Aotea (Ngāti Rēhua) and the Crown have signed an Agreement in Principle to settle all outstanding historical Treaty of Waitangi claims. Ngāti Rēhua is a hapū of Ngāti Wai based on Aotea/Great Barrier Island with historical grievances relating to old land claims, early Crown purchases,
